Account Deactivation & Deletion Policy

Effective Date: July 9, 2026 — Last Updated: July 9, 2026. This policy explains how you can deactivate or delete your ImmediateRide account, what happens to your information, and when we may suspend or close an account.

We're committed to giving you real control over your account, while balancing our legal, security, and operational responsibilities.

At a Glance

  • Temporary deactivation — hide your profile while keeping your account and history.
  • Permanent deletion — remove your account once bookings, disputes, and payouts are cleared.
  • Some records are kept — for legal, fraud, tax, and security reasons.
  • You can appeal — ask for a review if your account was suspended or closed.

1. Temporarily deactivating your account

You can temporarily deactivate your account at any time from your account settings. This lets you take a break without losing your account or profile. While deactivated, your profile is hidden, you can't create or accept new bookings, and your past booking records stay in your history. You can reactivate anytime by signing in again, subject to any required verification.

2. Permanently deleting your account

You can ask us to permanently delete your account. Before we process it, a few things generally need to be cleared: no active bookings, no unresolved payment disputes, no outstanding provider payouts, no ongoing investigations, and any legal retention requirements must be satisfied.

3. What happens after deletion

Once your account is permanently deleted, your profile disappears, your login stops working, and you can no longer access your dashboard, view old messages, or create or accept bookings. Where the law allows, we securely delete or anonymize personal information we no longer need.

4. Information we may keep

We may keep some information after deletion to meet legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, handle tax and accounting, enforce our rights, and protect the platform. Examples include booking records, payment records, fraud investigations, support messages, and safety reports.

5. If you're a ride provider

Before deleting your account, make sure all completed rides are finalized, outstanding payouts are processed, no active bookings remain, and any verification reviews are finished. Deletion may be delayed until these are resolved.

6. If you're a passenger

Before deleting your account, make sure all bookings are completed or cancelled, refund requests are resolved, and open disputes are concluded.

7. Reactivating your account

A temporarily deactivated account can usually be reactivated by signing back in. We may ask for updated information or extra verification first. A permanently deleted account usually can't be restored. To return, you'd need to create a new account, unless you were banned for past violations.

8. When we suspend an account

We may temporarily suspend an account to protect users or the platform. Reasons can include suspected fraud, payment issues, safety concerns, repeated policy violations, identity verification reviews, or ongoing investigations.

9. When we permanently close an account

We may permanently close an account for serious violations, such as fraud, identity theft, payment fraud, fake bookings, repeated abuse, harassment, threats or violence, criminal activity, circumventing platform rules, or repeated off-platform payments.

10. Your right to appeal

If you think your account was suspended or closed by mistake, contact us to request a review. Include your full name, registered email, a description of the issue, and any supporting information.

11. Security during deactivation

Even while your account is deactivated, we continue to protect your information with reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards.

12. What happens to reviews and history

After permanent deletion, reviews you wrote may stay visible in anonymized form where the law allows, to keep the review system fair. Booking history may be kept for legal, accounting, fraud, and dispute reasons.

13. Third-party services

Deleting your ImmediateRide account doesn't automatically delete information held by independent third parties like payment processors or mapping services.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Important changes will be published here with a new date.
