1. General Policy
ImmediateRide is committed to fair and transparent refund practices. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which passengers may be eligible for a full or partial refund, the refund process, and timelines.
2. Cancellation by Passenger
If you (the passenger) cancel a confirmed booking, your refund eligibility depends on when the cancellation is made relative to the scheduled pickup time.
Tier 1: More than 24 hours before pickup
Full refund of the ride fare, minus a small processing fee of up to 5% (capped at $10 USD or equivalent). The processing fee covers payment gateway charges and administrative costs incurred at the time of booking.
Tier 2: Between 2 and 24 hours before pickup
Partial refund of 50% of the ride fare. The remaining 50% compensates the provider for the lost booking opportunity, as short-notice cancellations make it difficult to secure a replacement passenger.
Tier 3: Less than 2 hours before pickup or No-Show
No refund. The full fare is retained and paid to the provider, who has likely already begun traveling to the pickup location or allocated their time and vehicle for the scheduled ride.
3. Cancellation by Provider
If the ride provider cancels the booking for any reason, you will receive a full refund of the ride fare. No processing fee will be charged. ImmediateRide will also assist you in finding an alternative provider for your route.
4. Service Quality Issues
If you experience significant service quality issues during your ride (such as the provider not showing up, significantly different vehicle than described, unsafe driving, or the provider failing to complete the trip), you may request a partial or full refund by contacting our support team within 48 hours of the ride's scheduled completion.
5. Force Majeure Events
In cases of extreme weather, natural disasters, government-imposed travel restrictions, or other force majeure events that prevent the ride from taking place, we work with both parties to reach a fair resolution. Typically, passengers receive a full refund in these circumstances.
6. Duplicate or Erroneous Charges
If you believe you have been charged in error or charged multiple times for the same booking, please contact us immediately. We will investigate and, if confirmed, process a full refund of the erroneous charge within 5-10 business days.
7. Refund Process and Timeline
To request a refund, contact our support team through the Help Center, Contact page, or email us at support@immediateride.com. Provide your booking reference number and a clear explanation of the reason for your refund request. Our team will review your request within 2-3 business days. If approved, refunds are processed to the original payment method and typically appear in your account within 5-10 business days.
8. Non-Refundable Items
The following are generally non-refundable: optional add-ons or extras used or provided during the ride; tips or gratuities paid to the provider; rides completed without incident, even if you are dissatisfied with minor aspects; bookings where you provided incorrect pickup or drop-off information.
9. Disputes
If you disagree with our refund decision, you may request an escalated review within 14 days of receiving our decision. An escalated review is conducted by a senior team member. The escalated review decision is final.
10. Changes to This Policy
ImmediateRide reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated 'Last Updated' date. For active bookings at the time of a policy change, the policy in effect at the time of booking will apply.
11. Contact
For refund-related inquiries, contact us at support@immediateride.com or through our Contact page. Please include your booking reference number for faster assistance.
